Responsible work enforcing applicable animal-control laws and Town ordinances, protecting public safety, and promoting the humane treatment of animals.
Responds to animal-related complaints, investigates incidents, handles animals safely, and assists residents with animal-control concerns.
Work is performed under the general direction of the Police Chief (or the Chief’s designee) and the Town Manager, with considerable independence. Performance is evaluated through call records, reports, communication with dispatch and complainants, and review of results achieved.
Coverage includes Winthrop, Monmouth and Manchester under Town agreements.
Hourly pay in addition to $10,000 stipend and mileage reimbursement.
